      It's always pretty fair. I'm internally wire to get a fair shake... that way it's a win win
  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
      I often prefer to discuss it on the phone because might have alot of info to share but there are exceptions. I have also learned it's always best to see the job no matter what it is big or little . Good pics can save a trip. sometimes I can make a price quickly and usually do. sometimes ya can't tell what it's gonna take so I tell em I do my best and folks are always happy with what I come with because it amounts to fix and a days pay.... I come from the school we're you never talk wages in the ....
  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
      I honestly just have good old fashioned experience. I like to think I'm self trained quite a bit but I also am good learner when I'm watching other trades or vids. I have many yrs reading prints and instructions putting things together I just know how to get through them kits... I also enjoy RC vehicles which helps keep ya in the Zone
  • How did you get started doing this type of work?
      I been in construction since 18 yrs old was a Framer for many years then back around 2000 I ran an ad in a little paper called IGA shopper for handyman work and began to teach myself many handyman things along the way.
  • What types of customers have you worked with?
      I have worked with many ,many homeowners or folks who own rentals. you meet many great people and I've made many friends. I used to stop by for coffee just visit the first customer I ever got out of that ol IGA shopper. we made that good of friends.
  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
      I did a couple things at the 1911 house this last fall that was very rewarding. She designed a nice little courtyard with paverstones and various features throughout and I got to build a sweet little deck, rebuild the fence and stain it . I installed a wrought iron fence with gate. I wedge anchor all the features down. I cut some custom trim inside so can hang pictures from the trim not put holes in walls . I fixed the doors. their were lots of little things in 1911 house to enjoy doin. I built some full height closet doors that were fun and some challenge to it as well....
  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
      I often tell them to go with their good intuition and often make sure they need it and not just want it within reason.
