About Us
  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Customers should know that we work with all insurance companies on covered losses including fire and smoke damage and most water and mold damage. We also offer self pay discounts.
  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically start by offering a free same day in home inspection including the use of a moisture meter and thermal imaging camera to determine what items of your home or business are wet. We scope the job and offer recommendations on both mitigation (setup, demo (if needed) cleaning, disinfecting and professional setup and monitoring of commercial grade drying equipment including dehumidifiers and air movers). Throughout the process we explain the homeowner their options for going through the insurance claim process or using a self pay option. Upon completion of the mitigation we also plan, schedule and complete the repairs or rebuild process. For insurance related claims we help guide the owner thru the process and offer direct correspondence with your insurance carrier for documentation and billing.
  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our owners, project managers and technicians are certified with the IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification). We also are consistently completing continuing education courses in the fields of water and fire mitigation along with mold remediation, contents cleaning and structural drying.
  • How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a licensed general contractor for the last 15 years we have completed over 500 projects including kitchen and bath remodeling, gut rehabs of apartment buildings and new home construction. We started focusing on water and fire restoration and mold remediation around 5 years ago. Since then we have focused on water, fire and mold as we enjoy helping out our community and neighbors in a time of need.
  • What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with a variety of homeowners and business owners throughout Chicagoland and the North Suburbs.
  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently had a call from a customer on New Years Eve who had a frozen pipe burst and flooded their kitchen and basement after their exterior hose was still connected. We got the call around 5pm on NYE and arrived on-site approx 45 minutes later. We were able to locate the source of the leak, perform emergency water extraction in the kitchen and basement along with setup of commercial drying equipment in the affected areas. After 3 days of monitoring the drying equipment we were successful in fully drying the structure and helping the owner throughout their insurance claim process. For this particular job the mitigation work took 3 days (72 hours) with the repair work scheduled for 6 days.
  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When it comes to water, fire and mold remediation I would highly recommend a customer works with a licensed and insured restoration contractor to properly document the loss and setup prior to completing any work. A licensed and insured contractor will know the ins and outs of the insurance claim process to make sure you have everything you need to make the claim go smooth including time stamped photos, videos, moisture readings, dry logs, sketches and a line item estimate and invoice. At the end of the day trust is important so call a company or two and see who you feel comfortable with over the phone or in person and also do a review checks to see what others have to say about their previous work.
  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
      1. Are you licensed and insured? (request copies of both) 2. Do you work directly for the insurance company or do you represent me as the homeowner or business owner? 3. How long have you been in business? 4. Ask for photos of previous work and for references.
