I offer solutions to large & small problems. I beleive in constant communication, solid integrity, quality work at affordable prices. I offer a large range of services, in a large area of service. I value the satisfaction of my clients! Depending on the material needs of the projects i will typically only quote the labor cost of the project. Prices are fluctuating greatly and it would not be fair to assume the highest or the lowest prices for materials. My Labor rate is $83/hr, and a minimum 1 hr per job, all time after is prorated per minute. Many jobs can be both estimated at an hourly rate & quoted at a set price, I typically can offer you the choice, but not always… some times its very difficult to know how long a job will take. About Us
  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
      No standard pricing, some jobs are typically but there are usually differences. I can say that i always do complete and correct work, i can usually find out what the best solution is if i’ve not yet encountered a specific problem. My aim is to give you what you are looking for and done the best possible way.
  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
      Walk through Gather details for and with the client Estimate if required before making a final decision on specifics Typically I'd want to give you a quote at this point Then schedule. I prefer to creat your desired results in what ever time it takes though, meaning that often it takes a bit longer and sometimes less time then i expected… the important end result is that you get what you wanted.
  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
      I've been trained as a mechanical designer, reverse engineer, builder, many years remodeling experiences , small Buisness experience drafting trained, and I’m an excellent problem solver, also; i have done a lot of programs specializing in leadership. I have a good background in lead paint and demolition processes.
  • How did you get started doing this type of work?
      Learned through mom and dad starting around 6-7 yrs old, also trained in Navy as electrician and fire fighting, trained for lead paint removal and encapsulating, trained in many engineering fields, leadership programs, management training, volunteer leadership organizations.
  • What types of customers have you worked with?
      All demographics, id rather not do a job just to get it done as cheaply as you can! I like to work with people who want quality and solutions.
  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
      I remodeled a 400 year old bedroom, built an 800 square foot 2 story addition on a cabin on a mountain with no utilities available, remodeled a house: removed stairs redesigned entry access, added new seller stairs, added a farmers porch, redistributed the weight barring walls to open up kitchen to dining area, resided the house complete. Added a beautiful set of stairs to a deck, lots of small handyman jobs and lots of light fixture installations, remodeled a bathroom and foyer as well as an extensive removal of lead paint and complete repainting of an old house. I have replaced a number of small and large decks, painted a number of exterior and interior homes, fixed a whole lot of doors, and always looking for faster and better ways to improve our work and the quality of the relationships we create in this type of work. I love doing this work and transforming a home for clients.
  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
      Ask if they are insured, both liability and workmanship comp for their employees, then ask for a COI, I've hired many sub contractors who have said they were insured till I requested the COI, then it never came and they would still want to do the work, it "always" turned out they were NOT insured. I no longer hire out unless they have a COI! Understand that all jobs are different and should be priced only after seeing the layout and meeting you, and you should feel good having us in your house, if you do not, hire someone you will feel ok with them in your house. Also: be clear what you want, don’t ever let a contractor tell you what you want… I’m not a designer of homes, but i have worked with many designers, they help you discover what you might like, i am the guy to make it reality. I can also add a lot of experiences that will help you decide what you want.
  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
      Compare prices, but: be very concerned if it's too low or too high... Lots of reasons for that, miscommunication maybe, or they have no idea what they are doing? Or there are things that a contractor assumes you either want or need that sends the prices way above or below others. Its sometimes better to ask the contractor why the price is so high or low if you like their work or quote and would like to work with them. I have run into situations where my price is much lower because its not always a need to replace a whole deck when new decking and a few new framing adds can create what looks like a brand new deck and be just as strong, other times ive removed decking to find out the last contractor used roofing nails on all the joist hangers and thats why the deck was sinking… a very simple correction and new decking could have saved them a lot of money… they decided to replace it anyway… codes and details make a big difference in prices and quality!
