About Us
  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer competitive prices, the Best prices in the area
  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we are hired, we make sure we understand the job and also make sure to let customers know they can ask any questions at any time before the appointment. When we get to the job, we always put on shoe covers and cover the work area that needs to be covered with a drop cloth or plastic covers, then clean after work is done; we bring a broom, vacuum, and wet wipes.
  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After high school, I attended Daniel Comboni International Electrical School as an apprentice from 2014 to 2016. From 2016 to 2019, I worked as an independent electrical contractor in Uganda before moving to Pittsburgh in 2019, where I continued my career in electrical work. I later founded Okot Electric LLC, which has since grown into a team of six full-time employees. With 207 five-star reviews on Google, we proudly serve an average of 52 families per week.
  • How did you get started doing this type of work?
From a young age, I had a deep passion for electrical work and was fortunate to attend trade school after high school. While working as an apprentice, I gained hands-on experience that shaped my career. After four years as an independent electrical contractor in Uganda, I moved to Pittsburgh in 2019 and have worked here ever since. Doing what I love every day is a blessing, especially as part of a dedicated team. We approach our work with excellence and integrity as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23).
  • What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with residential homeowners, home buyers, sellers, house flippers, friends, and families—but ultimately, we’re here to help anyone who needs electrical services.
  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We do many projects per day, including panel upgrades, Whole-Home generators, EV charging stations, sub-panels, surge protection, outdoor GFCI outlets, standard and smart switches, dimmers, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, bathroom exhaust fans, circuit extensions, disconnects, and more.
  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My first advice is to prioritize safety and ensure you can trust the professional you’re inviting into your home. Next, consider their experience and what past clients have said about their work.
