I started installing carpet, sheet goods in 1960. I achieved a degree in instrument and control and went to work for intel fab 7 1980. Retired from SEMATECH (from Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology) is a not-for-profit consortium that performs research and development to advance chip manufacturing 2007 retired and moved to NM. working for Thumb Tack under name Tobias Handyman LLC.   • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
      In my experience when a customer is quoted a price, and when the handyman shows up do the job there are the unknown factors which were not unveiled to the handyman. This causes a conflict with the relationship with the customer and handyman. Working by the hour eliminates all these problems.
  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
      I let the customer vent all their emotions about their project, then I contribute my opinion as what I can do to satisfy the customer.

      In 2007 started Senior Savvy Handyman services for Lowes. Present working for Thumb Tack under name Tobias Handyman LLC.
  • How did you get started doing this type of work?
      I was in the construction trades (GB-98) 1960 to 1978. Building homes Rio Rancho (Amrip).
  • What types of customers have you worked with?
      All types of nationalities, with no problems with communications.
  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
      Margarita Martinez: It’s a small kitchen pantry cabinet with a lot of pieces (many screws and such). 2.5 hr. This was a tea cabinet and was vary complex.

      Any handyman from Thumb Tack can do a great job
