Introduction

Hi and welcome to The Beveled Knot. We specialize in building custom furniture, but the hard work and pride we offer in that area extends to all of our services. From making that small improvement in your home, to bringing your home back to its previous glory, we offer an excellence you can be proud of. To date we keep our projects relatively small due to the size of our company. However if you reach out, we will be honest in our ability to complete your project in a timely manner, or if someone else would be a better fit for you. Have a peaceful day, we hope to hear from you.

About Us
  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is and old saying, "He sure is proud of his work to be charging that much." The truth is, I am proud of my work. My prices reflect my confidence and experience.
  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to call a new client and discuss what they would like done. At this point I can ask the necessary questions to determine whether or not I am the best choice for your project.
  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 7 years direct experience in building and installing custom cabinets and furniture. I do not offer the service of building wall mount cabinets (kitchen cabinets). I will install cabinets that have already been built such as those bought from Lowes or Home Depot. I do however build custom furniture, excluding chairs. This includes things such as; bookcases, tables, benches, toy/hope chests, and other novelty builds.
  • How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father was a bench carpenter as was his father. I have sawdust running through my veins and I couldn't escape it if I tried.
  • What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with customers who understand to quality of a solid product. I am proud of my work, and the price reflects that pride. But I assure you, you will also be proud of your new piece. And the look on your face when visitors compliment it will reflect that pride.
  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently built a cedar toy chest. It's not extravagant or fancy. But it is smooth and easy on the eyes. Just like nature intended wood to be.
  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask questions. If you're curious about how part of a project is done, or what type of material is used, ask those questions. You will see the confidence of the artisan answering, and the knowledge they possess.
  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What is your budget, time restraints, and final expectations.
