About Us
  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do charge for each service call or site visit including those which result in a project estimate. The cost of an initial service call or site visit is credited toward the total labor for an awarded project or those jobs which require a return trip. Our labor and material rates are very competitive and we consistently deliver value at every stage your project.
  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A quick phone consult to discuss your needs and any photos provided can solidly pricing and timing, but an onsite consult can be the best $45 you spend toward getting the best result for more complex or distributed systems. Scheduling is confirmed several days in advance for any project lasting more than one day.
  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a BICSI certified technician, I’m experienced with installing and terminating services ranging from simple network drops to digital broadband, audio and visual solutions (copper, coax and fiber). Extending electrical service, DC, Solar and generator backup service is part of my skill set.
  • How did you get started doing this type of work?
The long distance travel early in my career as a Telecom Field Engineer prompted me to begin subcontracting commercial and residential integration work from Central IN firms, which later led to system design and consulting for systems ranging from a single room home theatres to campus wide solutions at major universities and corporations across the Midwest.
  • What types of customers have you worked with?
Single Family Home and Condo Owners, SMB and Franchise Owners, General Contractors and local service providers.
  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Fitness Studio Audio reinforcement system tuned to the space for intelligibility and nominal SPL. Two sites were completed in approx 5-6 work days as we coordinated around the various construction and finish stages.
  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Low voltage wiring comes at a premium after a space is finished. Whenever possible plan for cabling to be roughed in during construction. Getting network, audio and video from one location to another can be accomplished in many ways and costs may depend on the performance and how ‘future proof’ of a solution you would prefer. Lastly, dropping a single wire to any location is a sure sign of future buyers remorse. Never settle for less than two ‘drops’ (as we technicians refer to each wire in a specific location or wall plate).
  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Have you purchased the equipment needed? All the interconnect cabling required between devices? Where would you like source or network equipment to be located so it’s is accessible but tucked out of sight? What do you plan to upgrade or add within the first year?
