Introduction

Atlanta lightscapes is a small company that pays special attention to details and customer concerns. Anything from avoiding spilling light into a child's bedroom to accent lighting a fountain in an English garden. Owner answers and addresses all inquiries and issues. We want your business and we are anxious to prove it! We only install our lifetime products to avoid dealing with inferior or limited warranty issues. I have been in outdoor lighting for 33 years. I personally install each job as if it were my own home. I enjoy meeting people and watching their design ideas become a reality. I most enjoy when I get that text the night of the install and have the opportunity to share how excited they are viewing their beautiful homes correctly illuminated.

About Us
  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We use only premium lifetime fixtures and transformers. Solid brass or copper. All connections are waterproof 600v capable and silicone filled for longevity. Our basic system starts around $900. We also offer free lights as well as an amazing referall program.
  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a client inquires we typically meet at their home or project. A quote is generated usually in less than an hour. After customer has made decision we schedule a date and install at their conviennence. There is no deposit, customer only pays hen they are completely satisfied. We typically come back after one week for a nighttime view and adjustments.
  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
College degree and continueing education in business and project planning. But most importantly I've been in business for over 31 years doing my best to be honest and provide value for the individuals who employ my services. We are very good at what we do, most of my lighting designs take only one day and we have a less than 1% return rate to correct installation mistakes.
  • How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started pushing a lawnmower around the neighborhood hen I was 12 to save money to buy roller skates. I found that if you work hard and do what you say you will do people are willing to pay you. I quickly learned how to prune (properly) various shrubs and trees. I would go to the library and local nursery's to find out when to fertilize, overseed, water etc. After college we did it all, grading, landscape, maintenance and of course dabbled a bit in lighting. Before too long I found myself "giving" lighting packages away because I enjoyed the work so much. Subsequently, I gave less and less attention to aforementioned and too much to lighting...I loved it.....so the story goes
  • What types of customers have you worked with?
Picky customers are my favorite. They sometimes have a challenge that seems too bazaar to be accepted. I get a huge sense of pride when I please them...and especially when the call me back for additions and recommend us to their closest friends. We've tackled $35,000 jobs and $190 jobs...they all get one thing, first rate service and quality products.
  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Mr. B. His wife birthday was approaching and I met with him during his lunch break and we came up with a plan to install lights for his wife while she was at work on Friday. She called him at 2 (we weren't due to be done until near 5) and said she's able to leave the office early for her birthday. We had to pull our 2nd crew fro another project to complete before she arrived home. We made it with about 30 seconds to spare. We hadn't even made it to the truck to pull off when she pulled up. Found out she had been wanting her home lit for 5 or 6 years. I even received a hug...and a loaf of some of the best banana bread I have ever eaten. Very nice people!
  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Call for references. Ask how long it takes them to respond to problems. Make sure the intensity of lamps match house/tree size. Energy usage, initial lumens, light color..beam width, throw. Color rendering. Also inquire about hubs and matching voltages throughout zones (it will increase lamp longevity)
  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Where will you be in 5 years. How long do you employees hang around. How many lighting projects have you installed. Who backs your products.
