  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 30 years of experience in electrical work, including 18 years working with an electrical company in San Jose. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive hands-on training in home electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and installations. My experience has given me a deep understanding of safe and effective solutions for a wide range of home repair needs. After three decades in the industry, I started my own home repair business to provide high-quality, reliable service directly to homeowners.
  • How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve always had a passion for working with my hands and problem-solving, which led me to the electrical trade over 30 years ago. I spent 18 years working for an electrical company in San Jose, gaining extensive experience in home repairs and electrical work. Over time, I realized there was a real need for skilled, reliable home repair services, so I decided to start my own business. Now, I take pride in helping homeowners with their repair needs, ensuring quality work and dependable service.
  • What types of customers have you worked with?
’ve worked with a wide range of customers, including homeowners, business owners, landlords, and property managers. Whether it’s a small home repair, an electrical upgrade, or maintenance for a rental property, I’ve helped clients keep their spaces safe, functional, and well-maintained. I take pride in delivering quality work for every customer.
  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One recent project I’m particularly proud of was upgrading the low-voltage lighting in a client’s front yard. The homeowner wanted to enhance their curb appeal while also improving visibility and security. Over the course of a day, I carefully installed new energy-efficient LED path lights, uplighting for the trees, and accent lighting to highlight key architectural features of the home. The result was a warm, inviting look that made the drive up to the house more enjoyable for the owner, especially at night. It was great to see how such a simple upgrade completely transformed the space!
  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a handyman for electrical-related repairs and home improvements, make sure to choose someone with experience in the specific job you need done. Clear communication is key—discuss your expectations, timeline, and budget to avoid surprises.
  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before reaching out to a professional, it's important to have a clear idea of your project needs. Consider what specific issue or upgrade you need help with and be as detailed as possible. Setting a budget range can also help narrow down options and ensure the work aligns with your expectations. Think about your timeline—whether it's an urgent repair or a flexible project. If you have any special requirements, such as specific materials, design preferences, or accessibility needs, be sure to mention them upfront. Lastly, define what success looks like for you, whether it’s improved functionality, aesthetics, or long-term durability. Being prepared with these details will make communication smoother and help you get the best results.
